Más de 20 años como directivo en multinacionales como HP, Microsoft, Airtel/AirTouch. En 2002 se incorporó a Vodafone. 2003-2012 fue consejero delegado. Desde 2008 es presidente, y desde 2012, preside la Fundación Vodafone. Es presidente de March JLT, miembro del Consejo Profesional de ESADE Business School y del Consejo Asesor de la Universidad UEM. Es presidente de la Fundación SERES, vicepresidente 1º de la Fundación TECSOS. Pertenece a diferentes Patronatos como el de Cruz Roja Española, la Fundación CASER o la Fundación COTEC. Participa en diversos proyectos de capital riesgo de internet y tecnológicos como Vitamina K. Imparte clases de Dirección Estratégica en el IESE. |
Francisco Román, Chairman of Vodafone Spain and the Fundación Vodafone (Vodafone Foundation) Spain
Over 20 years in executive positions at multinationals such as HP, Microsoft and Airtel/AirTouch. Mr. Román joined Vodafone Spain in 2002. From 2003-2012 he was the Managing Director, has been Chairman of the organisation since 2008 and Chairman of the Fundación Vodafone since 2012. He is Chairman of the insurance broker March JLT, a member of the ESADE Business School Professional Council and of the Advisory Council of the Universidad Europea de Madrid (European University of Madrid). He is Chairman of the Fundación SERES that promotes corporate commitment to improving society and the first Vice Chairman of the Fundación TECSOS that addresses the needs of vulnerable people through technological innovation. Mr. Román belongs to various boards of trustees, such as that of the Spanish Red Cross, the Fundación CASER for promoting health and social wellbeing and the Fundación COTEC that promotes innovation as a driver for economic and social development. He takes part in several Internet and technological venture capital projects such as Vitamina K and teaches Strategic Management at the IESE Business School. |
